WORKPLACE INJURY/ILLNESS
Workers' compensation is a type of insurance that an employee may be eligible to receive if he or she experiences a job-related injury or illness. The benefits may include medical care, indemnity payments (i.e., a portion of lost wages) and, in some cases, vocational rehabilitation.
