COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS

As of July 1, 2021, some State employees are covered under Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), see the Division of Human Resource Management, Labor Relations Unit page for more information.  If you are in a job classification currently covered under a CBA, some of the terms and benefits of your employment may be different than the provisions outlined on this page. Please consult your CBA or agency's human resource for further information.

REINSTATEMENT

The appointment of a former employee (who had permanent status and was separated through no fault of his or her own) to the same class previously held or a comparable class.

RESTRICTION

An individual may not be reinstated to a position at grade 30 or higher if the position is allocated to a higher grade level than the former position.



HOW?

Contact your agency's human resources to verify an individual's eligibility for reinstatement prior to making a job offer.

If an individual returns from military service and requests to be restored to his or her previous position (regardless of whether the individual had left State service), contact your agency's human resources IMMEDIATELY.
