COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS

DANGEROUS DUTY
An employee is provided with additional compensation of 10% of the employee's base rate of pay if engaging in a "dangerous duty" as defined in NAC 284.208.

TYPES
- Scuba or skin diving;
- Duties at a height of more than 16 feet above the floor in a building or ground level if performed on portable equipment or outside of a railed or protected area;
- (Except pilots) time spent in a single engine aircraft or helicopter;
- Handling or using explosives; or
- Performing maintenance or abatement on materials containing lead or asbestos in any area in which personal protective equipment must be worn in compliance with 29 C.F.R. Part 1910, Subpart I.
