COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS

If you are in a job classification currently covered under a CBA, some of the terms and benefits of your employment may be different than the provisions outlined on this page. Please consult your CBA or agency's human resource for further information.
(CANDIDATE) SELECTION
Candidate selection should be based on whether candidates can perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation, and which one is best qualified to do so.
"Vacancies in positions must be filled, so far as practicable, by promotion within a department or agency from among persons holding positions in the classified service." (NRS 284.295)
